Object Information:

 



This mosaic of the hart of Orion was made up of 24 images with a total exposure time of over 30 hours. Bright orange star Betegeuse is in the upper right and brilliant blur Rigel is in the lower left. The large red nebulosity, Barnard's loop is the predomiant object. The three familiar blue belt stars, the Horsehead nebula, and the Great Orion nebula occupy the lower center of the image. M78, the Witchhead nebula, and many other lesser known nebula can also be seen.
