Object Information:

On Saturday night 2/25/2012 I had the opportunity to spend the evening working with Brian McFarland in his observatory taking 2 minute test shots with his latest creation.

Brian built this Homemade 16” F4.5 Newtonian OTA on a homemade German equatorial mount with a homemade drive. We spent the evening hitting multiple targets taking UNGUIDED 2 minute shots, with a Canon 5D - Hutech Modified at prime focus.

I cannot tell you how much fun it is to work with such a fine instrument as this one, without guiding and getting the quality of photography we managed to achieve with this highly capable telescope. You can be sure that in years to come we will be working together on furthering the quality of the images we produce with this perfect combination of optics and camera!
